Curriculum Information For GreatChina CS Club
This self-paced course will discuss the major ideas used today in the junior computer science field, including basic computer programming concepts, object oriented programming, algorithms, artificial intelligence, website design etc. As a result, you will learn how to do basic computer programming and how to develop an independent project. Along the way we will also touch on how programming languages are designed, programming language semantics, and why there are so many different kinds of programming languages.
The course lectures will be presented offline (current) and online (to be added). To help you master the material, there will be in-lecture questions to answer and quizzes. There will also be homework in the form of exercises that ask you to show a sequence of logical steps needed to derive a specific result.
The programming language we mainly use is Java. The advanced courses would contain Kotlin and other languages.
Everything in our life nowadays has something to do with computing. When you are writing a document, you are using computer software. When you are watching videos on your phone, you are using Android or iOS apps. Apparently, we cannot live without computer technologies. In order to find something deep inside the computer, you need to learn how computers work and how developers design them.
Everything that computers do is the result of some program, and all of the millions of programs in the world are written in one of the many thousands of programming languages that have been developed over the last 60 years.
Now, you know how essential it is to learn computer science. Join us immediately!
